I have created this plugin to support our small family webshop for the period when we go on vacation or are otherwise not available. It works for us and maybe it will help also someone else out there. This is a hobby development done on my spare time and comes with no guarantees. It should be also mentioned that I am **neither** a professional programmer **nor** a Wordpress/Woocommerce expert. This plugin is the result of my own documentation done with the best knowledge that I have and/or I have found, but I cannot guarantee that this is a professional, efficient, clean development. One of the scope of sharing this plugin is to gather feedback and also to improve my coding and Wordpress skills. I am open to any collaboration that can improve this functionality and can further help the community. ## Short Description A simple WordPress plugin that offers out of office functionality for WooCommerce. During the absence the customers will be notified that standard workflows are affected and that the order received in this period will be prepared at a later point in time. This is offering only a notification feature without affecting in anyway the functionality of Woocommerce. Notification of the customer is done: * in the shopping cart page as first paragraph before the content of the cart * in the checkout page at the top of the page (below the coupons) * in the order confirmation email * (work in progress) as a banner on each page of the site Each of the above option can be activated or deactivated separately. ## Installation 1. Upload the `out-of-office-for-woo` directory to your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory. 2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress. ## Setting up The main page of the plugin is available under the Settings menu of Wordpress in the Admin area ## Main Features: * setup out of office interval (start date & end date) * setup type of out of office trigger: auto (during the above defined period), on or off * option to display the info in the shopping cart page - toggle on/off * option to display the info in the checkout page - toggle on/off * option to display the info in the order confirmation email - toggle on/off * (Work in Progress) option to display the info in a top bar on all pages
